Good news and not great news.
I finally got a hold of our officer. She doesn't have our file on her desk yet. Probably Tuesday (tomorrow). She could however see our file on her computer and someone at the USCIS lockbox caught the error and fixed JingXin's name. Officer Decker expects to receive our file Tuesday and then it takes her a couple of days to look at it. Once she approves us she sends our approval to NVC for the next step, previously blogged about in detail. We really need to get that NVC emailed letter next Monday to drop off our Article 5 paperwork Monday night (Tuesday morning in China) if we plan on having any hope to stay on September schedule. NVC can take up to a week to receive our approval from USCIS.
Average October and November weather in China. October is supposed to be the most beautiful time to visit China. I'm not sure how that would be true for the entire country. With this large land mass the Northern regions are much different from the Southern. Just think of us starting our travels in North Dakota, going to Kansas then ending up in Mexico.
