Remember the #1 through #17 families are on the last step before they FLY TO CHINA!
Passports have arrived for all four of us. Now we apply for our Chinese travel visas. Our passports have to be sent to a courier along with each 4 page application. The courier hand delivers the application and passport package and returns to pick it up with the visas a couple of days later and ships them back to us. The Chinese consulate no longer accepts mailed in applications. Chinese visas are $140 each and that doesn't include the courier and shipping fees. International travel sure isn't cheap.
